T&T - News: Potential to become a bestsellerPhoto: YACHT
Jeanneau is launching the Sun Odyssey 42i as the latest addition to its cruising programme for the time being. The ship will make its debut at the boot trade fair in Düsseldorf

The complete renewal of Jeanneau's Sun Odyssey model range is perhaps one of the most comprehensive and ambitious ever. The latest addition to the family of Jeanneau cruisers is the Sun Odyssey 42i. It will be on show in Germany for the first time at boot Düsseldorf.

Typical of the new generation of Sun Odyssey yachts from Marc Lombard's computer is the striking fullness of the boats in the stern area. The result is also a huge amount of space in the cockpit of the new 42. The fitting arrangement is exemplary and the double steering system works flawlessly.

The sailing characteristics in the test are also balanced. In winds between 15 and 18 knots, the yacht travelled well and was exceptionally stable in the water.

Conceptually, the interior layout of the Sun Odyssey 42i differs only slightly from the smaller 39i and 36i models. All three boats are available in two versions: the owner's version with one aft cabin and the charter version with two aft cabins.

The price is attractive: with a base price of just under 150,000 euros, the Jeanneau is one of the absolute price breakers in its class.

A tour of the boat and inside the boat is definitely worthwhile for all trade fair visitors. The ship is located in Hall 16, Stand A 22.
